Book on "Dynamics of Tree-type Robotic Systems” by Suril Vijaykumar Shah, Subir Kumar Saha, Jayanta Kumar Dutt
This book addresses dynamic modelling methodology and analyses of tree-type robotic systems. Such analyses are required to visualize the motion of a system without really building it. The book contains novel treatment of the tree-type systems using concept of kinematic modules and the corresponding Decoupled Natural Orthogonal Complements (DeNOC), unified representation of the multiple-degrees-of freedom-joints, efficient recursive dynamics algorithms, and detailed dynamic analyses of several legged robots.
The book will help graduate students, researchers and practicing engineers in applying their knowledge of dynamics for analysis of complex robotic systems. The knowledge contained in the book will help one in virtual testing of robot operation, trajectory planning and control.
The book is accompanied with the software ReDySim (Recursive Dynamics Simulator) available free from http://redysim.weebly.com/index.html.

RoCK-BEE by Manish Chauhan and Subir Kumar Saha
RoCK-BEE stands for Robotics Competition Knowledge Based Education in Engineering. It is a book about learning through the experiments. RoCK-BEE is for people who want to know, how to learn in life. It tells about the values of life, learning concepts, importance of teachers and it makes one remember that there is a zing of life which has to be enjoyed in whatever condition one may be in. It’s a must read for students and teachers.

Book on Robotics by Prof S K Saha Released
Introduction to Robotics by Prof S K Saha is a book which aims to understand the underlying concepts used in designing and building a robot, and to make it work. The strength of this book lies in that it covers both analyses and applications in a lucid manner. The material provided in this book can be used by practicing engineers as well for the purposes of adopting, maintaining, and even designing a robot.
The book is now complemented with the 3D learning software RoboAnalzyer available free from http://www.roboanalyzer.com

Book on Engineering Thermodynamics by Prof Dhar Released
This book presents a generalized approach to the study of thermodynamics based on a neat framework of basic concepts which are applicable not just to the classical heat engines but to all other kinds of systems like elastic, magnetic and electric systems; systems with interfacial tensions, etc. The Laws of thermodynamics are developed following a simplified version of Caratheodory's approach which is intuitively appealing. Thus emerges a generalized approach to understanding thermodynamics, where the laws are stated for any general process and not a cycle so that these can be applied directly to all kinds of interactions. This permits a sequential presentation of the two laws and a generalized definition of entropy which does not lean on any specific application like heat engine. The laws are then applied to a variety of systems.

New Book on "Dynamics and Balancing of Multibody Systems” by Himanshu Chaudhary and S K Saha
This monograph develops a unified methodology for dynamic analysis and minimization of the inertia-induced forces occurring in high speed multiloop planar as well as spatial mechanisms based on the multibody system modeling approach.
